Organic & Natural Health Association Endorses Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for HHS Secretary, Calls for Senate Support
The Organic & Natural Health Association is asking the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions and the Senate Finance Committee to back the selection of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as the next Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).
In a video posted to his Make American Healthy Again (MAHA) website (www.mahanow.org) on November 20, RFK Jr. said President Trump has given him to three directives:
1. Clean up the corruption in government health agencies.
2. Return government health agencies "to their rich tradition of gold-standard, evidence-based science."
3. Make America Healthy Again by ending the chronic disease epidemic.
The MAHA website also states, "The pharmaceutical megacorporations are by far the most heavily fined and criminally prosecuted companies in America, yet also some of the most powerful."
In backing the appointment, Karen Howard, CEO and Executive Director of Organic & Natural Health, said, “Serious change needs to occur if we are to address the underlying reasons for the epidemic of chronic health disease. All voices need to be evaluated and heard. Pharmaceuticals have done much to transform the health and wellbeing of people, but our system does not account for the power of nutrition, supplementation, lifestyle changes, and consumer education.”
